They figured out at the hospital that girls had RSV. Big Girl perked up on the oxegen and IV and was released the next day. Baby was in Monday thru Thursday. Thankfully they had a fold out chair for Mommy to sleep on so she could stay the whole time with Baby Girl. It's been a week now and everyone is doing great. The baby still has a little cough but is otherwise perfect. These are pictures of the baby's hospital crib. The blue tube is her 'blow-by' oxegen. My pictures of Big Girl are all on my phone, I'll try to post some once I figure out how to get them off the phone. The staff and especially the nurses were great on the children's floor. The girls were welcomed by cute stuffed animals and donated handmade blankets in their hospital beds. The playroom volunteer brought movies and a bag of toys for the kids to use. Everything was so tiny, cute, and pitiful--the little sticky sensors that got stuck on their chests had little animal pictures on them--the baby sized hospital gown was so sadly tiny. We're so blessed to have healthy kids in general and for their bouncing back from this recent illness.

Pitiful
Let me start by saying everyone is healthy now! We all got sick at the same time, all five of us. Mommy and Daddy were wiped out with fevers and it hit all the littles even harder. We'd all been sick for about a week (except new baby who got sick last but went to the doc first) and so we went to see the doctor. Daddy was told he had bronchitis. After Big Girl was given a breathing treatment and put on oxegen, all three kids were sent straight to the ER from the pediatricians' office. They thought for sure it was pnumonia, but all 3 had clear lungs on their x-rays. Big Girl (who's only 2) and Baby Girl (who's only 2 months) were admitted to the hospital and Boy was released to go home with Daddy. Mommy and the girls had to take our first and hopefully last ambulance ride down to the hospital. (Our ER is a free standing satelite facility and the hospital is about 20 minutes away). The fire and rescue guy buckled the baby in her car seat onto the big stretcher for the ride. One of the seats in the back had a fold out built in car seat for Big Girl and Mommy got to buckle in on the sidebench. Boy climbed right in and started asking questions and had to be shooed out to go home with Daddy. We didn't get the lights and sirens for our ride.
